  • I am currently a Ph.D. student in the Learning and Adaptive Systems Group at ETHZ and I am glad that I have Andreas Krause as my advisor. I’m interested in designing and building large-scale machine learning and data mining algorithms. In particular, I’m working on large-scale summarization by selecting a representative subset out of a massive data set using techniques from Submodular Optimization. I was recently awarded the Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship. I completed my B.S computer engineering at University of Tehran and my M.Sc. in computer engineering from Sharif University of Technology where I was working on influence and information propagation through social networks.
