My research interest is on the intersection between robotic surgery, reinforcement learning and optimal control. I am particularly interested in leveraging safe reinforcement learning and model predictive control to improve real-time decision-making capabilities of surgical robots. I’m part of the Research in Orthopedic Computer Science (ROCS) group led by Prof. Philipp Fürnstahl at Balgrist University Hospital and ETH AI Center, co-supervised by Prof. Andreas Krause and Prof. Benjamin Grewe.
